Article: The Road from "I'm just little old me" to "I radiate my brilliant beauty and competence"
Here's an account of a lovely telephone session where the client went from expressing sentiments like "I'm just little old me, how can I do that" to "I radiate my brilliant beauty and competence and share all of that with the world". What a joy to do this work!!
A client I'll call Jerry had a session with me because he felt stuck in his creative work. He is still working a lot of hours at a "day-job" but wants to be working full-time at his creative life work. So I asked him what does he feel is getting in his way?
He said that it was something to do with not being worthy or deserving. As an example of that he said that he goes monthly to a weekend college class where the students do a lot of creative work and afterwards share their experiences. Although he's been doing this over a year, and feels quite comfortable with the group, he has never got up and shared his own experiences. "I'm just little old me, I'm not worthy or deserving of doing that." Then he added, "It feels safer to keep myself small".
So I asked him how "charged" or "strong" did these statements feel, and he said that they were at least 9 or even 10 out of 10.
So Jerry used EFT and tapped on both of those statements,
"Even though it feels safer to keep myself small, I deeply and completely accept myself. tap, tap, tap and
"Even though I'm just little old me and I'm not worthy or deserving of doing that.." tap, tap, tap...
After several rounds of EFT, Jerry reported that the intensity on these statements had dropped to about 3 or 4.
I asked him, "How would you like to be instead?" and he responded with "I want to be brilliant, amazing, beautiful, full of grace". "And what would happen if you were that way? How would others respond?" He immediately replied, "They'd be threatened by that, especially my parents."
Jerry then tapped on "Even though my parents would be threatened by that, ...." but instead of the intensity dropping, Jerry got quite emotional and said "there's a pang in my heart and it feels impossible to heal it." Clearly he had hit a nerve, and so I suggested he keep tapping but change the phrase to "Even though it feels impossible to heal this pang in my heart..." and "Even though I've got a really good reason for keeping this pang in my heart...". When I asked him how he was doing, he said he felt more relieved, that there was more space and flow inside.
So I asked him "how big do the original statements feel now?" He replied that they had dropped to about a 1 or 2. He then tapped again on the original phrases:
"Even though it still feels sort of safer to keep myself small, I deeply and completely accept myself. tap, tap, tap and
"Even though I still have some of that belief that I'm just little old me and I'm not worthy or deserving of doing that, ..." tap, tap, tap... and Jerry reported that both of these statements had no charge left on them. "They just don't feel true anymore".
I asked him how likely he was to bring this stuff back. He paused then said, "I've been like this all my life, and it feels like I'll never really be free of it all, so yes, I'd say I'm fairly likely to bring it back, maybe a 6 out of 10." Then he said, "I see this image of ankle shackles."
I asked Jerry to tap with the phrases:
"It's not safe to be free" tap, tap, tap. He reported "Only a segment of the shackles is left"
"I need to keep some of these shackles" tap, tap, tap... "Now just a small ring is on the Achilles tendon"
"I'm too angry to let go of all of this" tap, tap, tap... "There's nothing left of the shackles"
Checking on the likelihood of bringing back the shackles, he said "No, I won't put those on again."
Now it was time to "install" the new "program" that Jerry had said he wanted at the beginning of the session. So he tapped with the phrase:
"I choose to radiate my brilliant beauty and competence and share all of that with the world" tap, tap, tap...
A few weeks later I emailed Jerry and asked him how he was doing.
He replied,
"I did notice a subtle but profound shift in that I feel more at ease sharing in a [small] group. I haven't gotten up in front of the whole class yet, but it doesn't seem so frightening anymore :) Thanks again!"

Introduction to Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) or "TAT Basics"

Tapas Acupressure Technique or TAT is a meditative healing method which was originally developed by Tapas Fleming, an acupuncturist, to treat allergies. But TAT isn't only for allergies! TAT is incredibly effective at relieving many other physical problems which are affected by stress, such as headaches, body pains, breathing difficulties, and skin and digestive disorders. TAT is also superb at freeing yourself of emotional issues, dispelling negative beliefs, and healing trauma and the after effects of trauma (PTSD). (As you may be able to tell, I am a big fan of TAT).
In this introductory workshop you’ll learn the basics of TAT and how it works. You’ll get lots of practice using TAT and learn how to apply it to a variety of types of problems, as well as see demos which will help you gain insight into more intuitive and creative uses of TAT. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Workshops - Introductory (Level 1) and Intermediate (Level 2) Workshops
EFT works great for eliminating negative beliefs and reducing anxiety, depression, fears and phobias, cravings, and relieving all kinds of physical and emotional discomfort, dis-ease or pain. I use it all the time with my clients and on myself because it is so effective, easy to learn and use.
The Fundamentals of Emotional Freedom Technique
Introductory Workshop: Sat. Dec.5
This 1-day intensive workshop will give you a rapid introduction to EFT so you can immediately begin using it to relieve negative symptoms. You’ll learn how to use EFT to effectively treat trauma, phobias, anxiety, anger and other negative emotions, and clear negative beliefs. By the end of the workshop, you’ll go away with more confidence in applying EFT to yourself and others and have a solid foundation towards mastering EFT.

EFT Advanced Training and EFT Practitioner Mentoring: Available by Request
Advanced EFT training comprises "everything else" that isn't covered in the introductory and intermediate EFT workshops. Obviously, "everything else" will vary greatly from person to person, depending on their knowledge and prior experience, and so this level of training is customized for each individual.
